Wavespeed AI

The frontier's best, priced by the penny. Wavespeed AI is a pay-as-you-go home for the very best image, video, and audio models on the market, the same frontier capabilities you find behind subscription platforms, behind one account that meters by the generation. And that is the difference that matters: subscription lanes rarely tell you exactly how many generations you are getting or what each one really costs. With Auteur Intelligence™ and Wavespeed together, you can measure your cost to the penny, use the capabilities you would otherwise subscribe for, spend on exactly what you need, and spend nothing more.

Wired in, not bolted on

The wiring is already in the house. Auteur connects to Wavespeed directly, so you can run as much of your pipeline through it as you want: pick it in the Visual Canvas or Prompt Studio, and its generations land in your shared media library with the same metadata, lineage, and Resolve round-trip as every other lane, receipts attached.

Here is what that looks like in practice. Say you hold a Codex subscription: use GPT Image 2 through your OAuth, CLI, or API lane to generate seed images at no metered cost. Then Auteur, working through that same Codex harness, places your chosen seed into whichever video generator you select on the Visual Canvas, routed to Wavespeed. The generation comes back into the project, where you review it, edit it, or send it straight to DaVinci Resolve. One pipeline, three providers, zero copy-paste, and the receipt shows what each step cost.

Your account, your terms

As everywhere on this platform: the account is yours, connected under your own key. Auteur does not resell or mark up generation. Wavespeed's own pricing and model catalog are the source of truth, so check their site for current models and rates. It pairs naturally with the draft-local, finish-frontier habit: rough for free, then spend pay-as-you-go dollars only on the finals.

"Seed six frames with Image 2 on my Codex lane, run the best two through the video model I picked on the canvas via Wavespeed, cap it at ten dollars, and stage whatever comes back in my Resolve bin."
