Auteur Intelligence — Acceptable Use Policy

In plain words. Do not use our software to break the law, hurt people, steal other people's work, attack our service or anyone else's, or get around another company's rules. If you do, we can throttle you, suspend you, or cut you off. This policy applies to everyone — local installations, hosted accounts, and beta participants — and it forms part of the Terms of Service and the Beta Evaluation Agreement.
1. Do not use the Products to
Break the law. Anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where your output goes. This includes export-control and sanctions breaches.
Infringe rights. Copy, adapt, or distribute work you have no right to; infringe trademarks; or violate someone's privacy, publicity, or moral rights. If you feed someone else's material into a project, make sure you may.
Produce material that harms people. Child sexual abuse material, of any kind, real or synthetic, ever. Non-consensual sexual imagery. Content that sexualizes minors. Material created to harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against a person or a group. Instructions for making weapons, or for serious violence.
Impersonate or deceive. Synthetic likeness, voice, or performance of a real person without their consent. Fabricated statements presented as a real person's or organization's. Content designed to deceive people about who made it where that deception causes harm — including electoral and financial deception.
Harm other customers or the service. Probe, scan, or attack our systems; try to reach another customer's data; interfere with or degrade the service; circumvent quotas, limits, approval gates, or abuse controls; or introduce malware.
Break another company's rules through ours. Our software connects to AI providers, creative applications, engines, and platforms. Their terms apply to what you do there. Do not use our Products to evade a provider's usage policy, rate limits, or account rules, or to use credentials you are not entitled to use.
Resell or hide the source. Resell, sublicense, or operate the Products as a service for others without a written agreement with us; share one seat across a team when your plan says otherwise; or present our software as your own.
Mine the software. Reverse engineer it, extract non-public source, prompts, or model weights, or use it to build or train a competing product from non-public elements. During the confidential beta, also see the Beta Evaluation Agreement.
Publish confidential material. During the confidential beta, publishing benchmarks, mechanisms, or other non-public details is a breach of the Beta Evaluation Agreement as well as of this policy.
2. Automated agents are your responsibility
Our software runs AI agents on your instructions, inside limits you configure. Those agents act for you. You are responsible for what they do, what they spend on your provider accounts, what they publish, and what they change — including where an agent acted on content it ingested. Set your allowlists, budgets, and approval gates accordingly, and review what an agent produces before you rely on it.
3. Content you bring in from outside
If you ingest documents, skills, tools, or repositories from other people, they may contain instructions aimed at a model. Our screening is a control, not a guarantee. Treat untrusted material as untrusted.
4. Reporting abuse

5. What we do about breaches
Depending on what happened, we may warn you, throttle you, disable a feature or a connector, suspend your account, or terminate it. We will give notice and a chance to fix things where that is practical, and act immediately where it is not — for example where there is ongoing harm, a legal requirement, or a risk to other customers.
Termination for breach does not earn a refund. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are notified as set out in the Terms of Service.
