Auteur Bridge
Your studio in the cloud, your hardware on your desk. Auteur Bridge is a platform feature that pairs your own computer to your Auteur workspace, so the work that belongs on your machine (your GPU, your media, your DaVinci Resolve) stays there while the project, the approvals, and the receipts stay in one place. It comes with your Auteur products and is in beta.
What it does
- Pair, don't expose: you pair a machine with a single-use code from your workspace. The Bridge connects outward to the studio; it opens no inbound port on your network.
- Your GPU, governed: local generation through ComfyUI, local models, and local audio run on hardware you already own, under the same spending limits, gates, and receipts as everything else in the project.
- The Resolve lane: Auteur Edit's DaVinci Resolve workflow runs through the Bridge on your own machine, with DaVinci Resolve Studio installed.
- You stay in control: pause and resume work on the machine at any time, check its status, or unpair it; secrets and file paths are redacted from what it reports.
- A record on the machine too: the Bridge keeps a tamper-evident, hash-chained log of what it did, alongside the receipts in your workspace.
“Render the four candidates on my own GPU tonight, stage the approved take to the Resolve inbox, and pause the machine at 7 a.m.”
Where it runs
Today the Bridge runs on Windows PCs, with a recent NVIDIA GPU for local generation and DaVinci Resolve Studio for the Resolve lane. A Mac release is being prepared. What you bring for each lane is on the requirements page, and the Local AI Guide recommends local models that fit the machine you pair.
Current limitations
The Bridge is in beta. Some lanes are still being certified on clean machines, and hosted workspaces are gaining support for sending each kind of local job to a paired machine lane by lane. Where a lane stands is on the status page.
